Taphrina kruchii (Vuillemin) Saccardo, 1892

the leaves are swollen and reddened; both upper- and undersides bear a layer of finger-shaped asci. Infected shoots form witches’ brooms. Infected parts of the crown are clearly recognisable from a distance by the red discolouration.
