Coleosporium narcissi Groves, 1922
on Pinus ?
gall
see Coleosporium tussilaginis sensu lato.
spermogonia, aecia
probably, like all other Coleosporium species:
on Narcissus
gall
orange coloured, hypophyllous uredinia; telia not known.
uredinia, telia
Amaryllidacese, monophagous
Narcissus poeticus.
Even the exact name of the host plant is uncertain. Henderson (2000a) writes of N. poeticus, but in 2004 he switches to N. pseudonarcissus.
notes
This is the only Coleosporium known from a monocotyledonous host plant. Therefore it is very unfortunate that the species has been collected only once (in the UK), and that only the uredinia are known.
