uredinia mainly hypophyllous, 1 mm, orange, surrounded by epidermis remnants; between the spores club-shaped paraphyses, with a wall of even thickness, 2-3 µm; urediniospores elongated, coarsely spinulose, except for the smooth apex. Telia hypophyllous, subepidermal, up to 1 mm large blackish brown, pulvinate; teliospores columnar.
