Spermogonia amphigenous. Aecia hypophyllous, orange, dish-shaped, without a peridium, on epiphyllous, deep red, yellow margined leaf spots. Uredinia orange yellow, with many capitate paraphyses, head ø 14-26 µm. Telia subepidermal, dark brown, spores columnar.
