Throughout the uredinium stand paraphyses on a thin stem that rather abruptly widens into a club-like head with uniformly thickened wall. Urediniospores oval, with spines all over; wal. Telia 0.5 mm, often in groups, brown, subepidermal, hypophyllous; teliospores columnar.
