uredinia hypophyllous, on leaf spots that are developed at both sides of the leaf, 0.1 mm, yellow, pulvinate. Throughout the uredinium stand paraphyses on a thin stem that rather gradually widens into a club-like head with uniformly strongly thickened wall. Urediniospores almost globular, with spines all over; wall of uniform thickness. Telia 0.5 mm, often in groups, dark brown, subepidermal; teliospores columnar.
