Only telia. They are numerous, amphigenous, also on the petioles, dark brown, long covered by the epidermis, often placed on small galls. Spores 2-celled, brown, apical cell with a hyaline papilla.

the species essentially differs from P. albescens in having but one, instead of all for types of spores; morphologically there is little difference between the two.
