No host plant alternation (or not known). Uredinia strictly hypophyllous, orange, soon naked, in long stripes covering the entire lamina; no paraphyses. Urediniospores with 6-8 distributed germination pores. Telia small, distributed, inconspicuous. Teliosporen 2-celled, hardly constricted, clavate; wall smooth, thin except an apical thickening; pedicel generally short.
