No host plant alternation, only telia. Telia dark brown, compact, pulvinate, mainly hypophyllous, on yellow spots. Teliospores two-celled, elliptic, 15-22 x 32-54 µm, somewhat constricted. Wall smooth, apically somewhat thickened. Pedicel hyaline, persistent, thick, about as long as the spore.
