no host plant alternation, only uredinia and telia. Uredinia hypophyllous, chestnut brown, less then a mm, soon naked, pulverulent. Urediniospores spinulose with 2-3 germination pores. Telia also on the petioles, blackish brown. Teliospores 2-celled, verruculose.
