No host plant alternation, only telia. Telia epihyllous, dark brown, 1-2 mm wide, pulverulent; without paraphyses. Teliospores two-celled, rounded elliptic; wall thick and smooth, apically hardly thickened, germination pores (apicall in the top cell, almost basally in the lower one) with a low papilla; pedicel hyaline, persistent, up to 120 µm.
