No host plant alternation. Aecia and telia amphigenous; spermogonia and uredinia missing. Aecia on yellow leaf spots with a cylindrical, yellowish white peridium. Telia small, black, lang covered by the epidermis, often around the uredinia. Teliospores generally 2-celled; wall dark brown, smooth, only apically conspicuously thickened; pedicel hyaline, persistent.
