Puccinia cervariae Lindroth, 1901

on Peucedanum

gall

No host plant alternation, only uredinia en telia. The uredinia that are formed in spring (together with the spermogonia) form dark brown crusts on swellings, sometimes quite extensive, on the petioles. From June on the uredinia are much smaller, causing only leaf spots; spores apically with a distinctly thickened wall, 3-4 equatorial germination pores. Telia dark brown; spores two-celled, wall of uniform thickness, smooth.

host plants

Apiaceae, narrowly monophagous

Peucedanum austriacum, cervaria.
