Urediniospores ± globular, thick-walled, clearly verruculose, with 4-5 germination pores; the spores stand on up to 85 µm long, hyaline pedicels. Between the spores thin-walled colourless paraphyses. Telia rare, blackish brown, thick pulverulent, soon naked. Teliospores 1- or 2-celled, short-oval, smooth, on a pedicel that is up to 120 µm long, persistent; the spores do not fall out. Between the spores thin, colourless paraphyses.
