telia type II
gall
No host plant alternation; only telia. Telia in two types. Telia of the first type are generally hypophyllous and crustose, light brown; the spores, on long, persistent pedicels germinate almost instantaneously; the telia therefore often are greyed because of the mass of basidiospores that are formed. Telia of the second type mostly are small, pulverulent, brown; the two-celled spores, on short, deciduous pedicels, serve for hibernation.
host plants
Saxifragaceae, monophagous
Chrysosplenium alternifolium, oppositifolium.
