No host plant alternation. Spermogonia between the aecia. These are rarely formed, on yellow, somewhat galled spots, golden yellow. Uredinia and telia generally hypophyllous, the telia cinnamon brown, the telia blackish brown. Urediniospores with 2-3 equatorial germination pores. Teliospores two-celled, on short, deciduous pedicels.
