gall
No host plant alternation, only telia. Most telia, at the underside of the leaves, germinate almost immediately, recognisable as a grey hue on top of the telium. A second type of telium, darker brown and formed at the underside of the midrib, on petioles and stems. contains spores that germinate only after hibernation.
host plants
Onagraceae, monophagous
Circaea alpina & subsp. pacifica, erubescens, x intermedia, lutetiana.
