No hostplant alternation, no spermogonia or aecia. Uredinia mainly hypophyllous, up to 3 mm long on brown leaf spots; they are pulverulent, rust-coloured. Urediniospores with 2-3 sub-eqautorial germination pores. No telia; teliospores are formed in small number in the uredinia. They are two-celled, standing on up to 20 µm long, deciduous pedicels.
