No host plant alternation. Spermogonia between the aecia. Aecia hypophyllous, cupulate, yellow with recurved margin, on yellow spots. Uredinia and telia epiphyllous, also on the petioles, blackish brown. Urediniospores 19-25 µm. Teliospores 19-24 x 24-30 µm, two-celled, finely verrucose, on very short, hyaline pedicels.
