No host plant alternation, only uredinia and telia; both amphigenous, also on the stems, compact, light brown and blackish brown, respectively. Urediniospores with 2-3 equatorial pores. Teliospores 2-celled, 19-29 x 27-46 µm, on a deciduous pedicel that is op to 102 µm long.
