Urediiospores 17-25 x 20-38 µm, with 2(-3) equatorial germination pores and a conspicuously thick wall (up to 5 µm). Teliospores 2-celled, elliptic; wall of top cell apically not thickened wall; pedicel thick, hyaline, persistent, up to 150 µm.
