No host plant alternation, only telia. Telia dark brown, pulverulent, hypophyllous, also on petioles; causing galling; spores 8-23 x 28-46 µm, two-celled, smooth. Germination pore of the lower cell close to the pedicel attachment (cf P. pozzii).
