No host plant alternation, only uredinia and telia. Uredinia amphigenous, brown the first formed ones on yellow spots; between the spores threadlike paraphyses; spores with 3 germination pores, each one capped by a low papilla. Telia blackish brown, hypophyllous, dispersed, soon naked, not on leaf spots, likewise with paraphyses; spores 2-celled, oval; wall smooth, rather thick, apically not thickened; pedicel hyaline, up to 90 µm.
