Spermogonia epiphyllous. Aecia (sometimes not formed) hypophyllous, in groups, cupulate, with white, recurved margin split into segments and yellow spores. Uredinia and telia brown, also on leaf spots. Urediniospores 19 x 22 µm with 2 equatorial pores. Teliospores two-celled, 18-26 x 24-66 µm, with apically strongly thickened wall.
