spermogonia yellow, in small groups among the aecia. Aecia hypophyllous and on the stems, on brown spots, cupulate, rarely formed. Uredinia and telia mainly hypophyllous, pustulate, light and dark brown, respectively. Urediniospores yellowish brown with 2(-3) germination pores. Teliospores two-celled, almost globular, on a fairly long, deciduous pedicel.
