No host plant alternation; only telia. Telia rust-brown, pulvinate, compact, also on the stems. Spores 12-17 x 36-40 µm, two-celled, apically rounded, on a 60-70 (110) µm long hyaline, persistent pedicel; apical wall of the top cell strongly thickened.
