uredinia orange yellow to rust coloured, mainly epiphyllous, dispersed; spores with 7-10, mostly 9, not very clear, dispersed pores. Telia small, black, mainly hypophyllous, covered by the epidermis, divided into compartments by rows of brown, apically broadened paraphyses. Teliospores in majority one-celled, only ± 20 % two-celled, irregular in shape.
