no host alternation, only uredinia and telia, both hypophyllous on discoloured leaf spots. Uredinia up to 0.5 mm, reddish brown, soon naked. Urediniospores 23-29 x 25-33 µm, spinulose, with 3 equatorial pores.Telia up to 0.3 mm, black. Teliospores two-celled, broad-elliptic, ± 20 x 33 µ,m. Pedicel hyaline, up to 70 µm. The top cell has a double-layered wall: outer layer hyaline, inner one brown.
