No host plant alternation; only amphigenous, brown, pulverulent telia. Spores two-celled, 14-21 x 32-54 µm, verrucose; germination pore of the top cell with a conspicuous pale yellow papilla; de pore of the lower cell almost touching the separation wall, with a much lower papilla; pedicel short, deciduous.
