No host plant alternation. Spermogonia mostly missing. Aecia hypophyllous, cupulate, yellow with recurved margin, on vague spots. Uredinia amphigenous, pulverulent, cinnamon brown. Urediniospores 24-30 µm, with 2-3 dispersed pores. Telia as the uredinia, dark brown; spores 13-24 x 23-37 µm, two-celled, finely verrucose, on very short, hyaline, deciduous pedicels.
