No host plant alternation, only telia. Telia hypophyllous, blackish brown, small, often in large groups on yellowed spots. Spores 35-64 µm lang, 2-celled, somewhat constricted at the septum, brown, smooth; top cell apically attenuated, thick-walled; pedicel hyaline, persistent, 55 µm.
