No host plant alternation; only blackish brown telia. Spores two-celled, 16-22 x 32-52 µm, finely verrucose; germination pore of the top cell with a conspicuous papilla; de pore of the lower cell almost touching the separation wall, with a much lower papilla; pedicel short, deciduous.
