No host plant alternation; telia only. These brown, on the petioles and (the underside of) the leaves on discoloured and galled spots. Spores two-celled, on short, deciduous pedicels. The germination pore of the lower cell usually is located in the upper half of the cell (contrary to P. angelicae, where it is the other way).
