No host plant alternation. Spermogonia and aecia not known. Uredinia hypophyllous, orange to brown, pulverulent; spores partly spinulose, with 2(3) equatorial germination pores, each one capped by a low, hyaline papilla. Telia hypopylous, dark brown; spores 2-celled,wall with a reticulate structure; germination pore of the lower cell on or below the middle; pedicel deciduous.
