No host plant alternation. Spermogonia and aecia on yellow swellings. Aecia cupulate, deeply sunken in, yellow, with white margin. Uredia and telia hypophyllous, small, cinnamon brown and brownish black, respectively. Urediniospores with 2(3) equatorial germination pores. Teliospores 2-celled, short-oval; wall with a finely-meshed reticulate structure; pedicel hyaline, not or hardly longer than the spore.
