No host plant alternation; only uredinia and telia. The uredinia are hypophyllous, yellowish brown; between the spores cinnamon brown, aseptate, distinctly capitate and thin walled paraphyses. Telia are rare, just a few per leaf. Telia only slightly darker than the uredinia.
