Aecia on violet stripes along the veins. Uredinia and telia mainly hypophyllous, brown and blackish brown, respectively. Urediniosporen 21-26 x 23-37, spinulose, with 2 equatorial germination pores. Teliospores two-celled on a deciduous pedicel of up to 45 µm.
