No host plant alternation, only urediniospores and teliospores in a mixed sorus. Sori small, black, pulverulent, amphigenous, also on the stems, on small yellow spots. Urediniospores 24-30 x 30-40 µm with 3 germination pores. Teliosporen 22-30 x 35-54 µm; pedicel short, thin, hyaline, deciduous.
