no host plant alternation, only telia, exclusively in the inflorescence, especially on the siliquae. They are reddish brown, pulvinate. The spores are brown, two-celled with a clear constriction, the wall is homogenous in thickness, verrucose. The pedicel is thin, deciduous. Contrary to Puccinia thlaspeos, the host plant does not become disfigured as a result of the infection.
