No host plant alternation, telia only. They are mainly hypophyllous, also caulicolous, to over 2 mm long, dark brown, pulvinate, not pulverulent. Spores 42-50 µm, two-celled, weakly constricted, apically rounded, upper pore ± apical, lower one equatorial or sub-equatorial; wall yellowish brown, smooth, apically strongly thickened; pedicel hyaline, persistent, up to 90 µm.
