No host alternation, only telia: black, small, hypophyllous, on yellowed leaf spots. Among the teliospores also urediniospores are formed: 20-25 x 28-34 µm, thick-walled, with 3 equatorial germination pores, each one capped y a hyaline papilla. Teliospores 2-celled, 24-32 x 32-40 µm; wall very finely punctuated.
