No host plant alternation; aecia are missing. Uredinia and telia amphigenous, pulverulent, light and dark brown, respectively. Urediniospores 16-20 x 24-30 µm, spinulose, with 2 germination pores somewhat above the equator. Teliospores 18-26 x 30-39 µm, elliptic, 2-celled, verruculose; pedicel hyaline, up to 16 µm.
