no host alternation, only telia. Telia mostly hypophyllous, also on the stems and petioles, soon naked, blackish brown. Spores two-celled, hardly constricted, chestnut-coloured, wall of top cell apically strongly thicked; on up to 50 µm long, brown, persistent pedicels.
