no host plant alternation, only telia: hypophyllous, soon naked, dark brown, 1-2 mm ø; not accompanied by galling. Spores 2-cepped, oval, 17-23 x 26-40 µm; wall towards the tip more verrucose; pedicel hyaline, fragile, deciduous. The fungus is not systemic.
