No host plant alternation, only uredinia en telia; both pulverulent, epiphyllous. Uredinia brown; spores 20-25 ø, with (2)3(4) equatorial germination pores. Telia dark brown; spores 2-celled, short-oval, 16-25 x 24-38 µm, wall with fine warts often in vertical rows; pedicel fragile, up to 25 µm.
