No host plant alternation; aecia are missing. Spermogonia on yellow spots. Uredinia and telia hypophyllous, pulverulent, light and blackish brown, respectively. Urediniospores 17-21 x 24-32 µm with 3 equatorial germination pores. Teliospores 22-28 x 31-41 µm, elliptic, 2-celled, verruculose; pedicel deciduous.
