No hostplant alternation, no uredinia. Spermogonia epiphyllous, yellow, up to 0.2 mm. Aecia amphigenous, also on the petioles, yellow, pustulate. Telia hypophyllous, mostly on yellowed leaf spots, brownish black; spores 2-celled, knobby; pedicel thick, up to 60 µm, deciduous.
