No host plant alternation, no uredinia. Spermogonia amphigenous. Aecia hypophyllous in up to 5 mm large groups, yellow, cupulate with recurved margin. Telia amphigenous, blackish brown, pustular; between the two-celled teliospores a few urediniospores with a single germination pore.
