No host plant alternation, no aecia. Spermogonia honey-coloured, epiphyllous. Uredinia and telia hypophyllous, cinnamon coloured and dark brown, respectively. Urediniospores with 2-3 equatorial germination pores. Teliospores 2-celled; wall weakly verrucose; pedicel mostly 1-2 x the length of the spore.
