No host plant alternation; aecia are missing. Uredinia and telia hypophyllous, pulverulent, light and dark brown, respectively. Urediniospores 26-27 x 30-ß33 µm with 2 germination pores in the top half of the spore. Teliospores 25-27 x 42-45 µm, elliptic, 2-celled, verruculose; pedicel tot 14 µm, hyaline, deciduous.
